Last week, I delivered the 2011 Charlotte Zolotow Lecture at the Cooperative Children’s Book Center (CCBC) at the University of Wisconsin. The lecture is named after the legendary children’s book author and editor Charlotte Zolotow, who deeply influenced the American children’s book industry. It was an incredible honor for me to follow the likes of Judy Blume and Linda Sue Park. I haven’t been that nervous about a talk in a long, long time, which is probably why I ended up talking way faster than I meant to. I give an overview of my life with comics and work in some Scott McCloud references, too!
In any case, the good folks at CCBC put the talk up on their website. You can find it here.
